I'm having a similar issue. It doesn't matter how often I do a hard reboot or anything else, my iPad mini 2 refuses to update or download any apps. I've tried all the little tips and tricks like resetting my settings, switching networks, rebooting, hard reboot, changing soooo many settings but it doesn't matter. Absolutely nothing happens. I've rebooted my modem and it doesn't help either. I need a sure fire way to update my apps. Please somebody help!!!

I'm having the same issue on my iPhone 6s. However, with the same iOS version my iPad Pro updates apps without any issues. After trying every suggestion I have found, the issue persists. This appears to me to be a design failure rather than user error, and all of the "workarounds" are compensating for Apple's failure to produce functional software. It used to "just work", but not anymore.

I have just recently discovered that if the settings are correct (automatic updates are turned on, signed into App Store) that for my iPhone 6s and my iPad Air 2 to automatically update, I have to be plugged in and open to my home page. It usually starts in less than a minute. This started after iOS 10.3.1 download in my case and is surely a bug on Apple's part. Hope this helps some of you.

Hello,

I have a recently full restored iphone 6s with latest ios 10.3.2 plus a recently full restored iphone 5s with latest ios 10.3.2, and both are facing that APP's DON'T GET UPDATED AUTOMATICALLY.

I have tried everything from this thread, and it has not fixed yet.

I want to demand to Apple people to help us solve this issue ASAP, as we expect excellence in these products, and the automation of the update of the APPs is a basic within ios fetaures.

I look forward to hear from you Apple people soon.

Best regards,

Guillermo

Mine was an iPad Air, updating to 10.3.2. First the update took a long, long time (I finally just went to bed, so I'm sure how long it was.) All of my original apps had to be reloaded, although the next evening they showed up on iTunes for download. One of the biggest issues is that I had to separately download iCloud app, where I keep everything. It usually comes as part of the system install, no? Anyway, it was very frustrating to finally figure out that I had to go get it from the App Store.

Not the usual usually seamless update.

Yes I'm experiencing that too. Ever since I upgraded to IOS10.3.2 my apps are not updating automatically. I have iPhone 7 Plus red the lastest version and I'm very disappointed. I tried the solution they gave you when they replied to you but it still not updating. My connection is strong, I have wifi at home. I tried everything turn it on and off, singing-out out of App Store and signing back in as they instructed and it's still not working. I'm not sure if it's the new version or the phone .. they need to fix this asap!!

Same boat. Since upgrading to 10.3.2 I no longer get automatic updates. I've logged out of my account and logged back in, doesn't help. My wi-fi connection is fine. What does keep happening is that the account keeps on dropping the security code to my credit card. If I enter that back in, then I'll get auto updates for a short time, but then it seems to drop the code and the auto updates stop. I've also noticed that I can't get free apps to download automatically without using fingerprint approval, even though I have the phone set up to allow automatic downloads of free apps, so I'm sure it's all part of the sam bug that Apple doesn't seem to want to pay any attention to. And of course since this is a community forum, no guarantees that Apple tech support will even see this. (Hey Tim Cook, pay attention! You've got a lot of frustrated users out here.)

Hi there, Bemhr.
Seems like your applications aren't updating automatically since you upgraded your iPhone 5s to iOS 10. I'm pretty particular about my applications updating and I'll be glad to help.
If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won’t connect to a Wi-Fi network -- The first thing to check is that you have a strong connection to the internet. I've included this article if you find you're having difficulties
If you have a good signal, on your phone, tap Settings > iTunes & App Stores and make sure that "Updates" is turned on. If it is, turn it off then back on after a few seconds.
If your apps haven't started updating automatically, open the App Store on your iPhone, scroll to the bottom, tap your ID and select "Sign Out" and provide your password. After restarting your iPhone, open the App Store again and sign back in with your ID.

Thanks for being a part of Apple Support Communities. Take care!

Same here - iPhone 6s and iPad Mini 4 both on iOS 10.0.2. Automatic updates are not working. Old iPad Gen 3 on iOS 9.3.5 works fine, so it looks like an iOS 10 issue.

I've tried signing out, restarting and signing back in, force quit the app, 10 tap force refresh, resetting network preferences... even tried ignoring it for a couple of days hoping it would get round to it later, but nothing seems to make any difference.

I can manually download updates, but it doesn't happen automatically. Not the end of the world but it's not working as it should so it's annoying.

Both iPhone and iPad have now done automatic updates, so it does seem to be working for me now. I think signing out of the App store from within the App Store app itself was the last thing I tried on both devices (but I have tried so many things I could be wrong). But unlike yours, Poogis, neither did the updates straight away.

I noticed because the app badge had disappeared some hours later. I had notifications but both devices had done the updates overnight during a period when they were on Do Not Disturb, and I had not had notifications in the Lock Screens, just the Notifications screen.

Anyway, I'll keep an eye on it but it does look like it's sorted out for me.

Cheers
