Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. It's my understanding your iPad is showing the Apple logo when trying to charge and the "Connect to iTunes" screen when you force restart. You've done a great job trying to fix this on your own. I am happy to help.
Since your seeing the "Connect to iTunes" screen, it's likely that the software needs to be reinstalled. To do this you'll need to connect with iTunes on a Mac or PC. Please follow the steps below.- Make sure that you're using the latest version of iTunes.
- Connect your device to your computer using the cable that came with your device. You should see this message: "The software on [your device name] needs to be restored to factory settings or updated."
- Click Update (not Restore) to reinstall iOS and keep your personal data.
If you see the Connect to iTunes screen on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

If you can't update or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touchHave an amazing day!
