Glitch with Automatic Downloads in the iOS 10 Music app?

I have an iPhone 5C - 16 Gig, running iOS 10.0.2.

I had briefly enabled Automatic Downloads from Settings -> Music, but after it flooded my phone with songs; leaving zero space, I quickly disabled it, and deleted all locally stored Music.

So you can imagine my surprise when I came back to my phone, to see the SAME Music downloaded (on its own), filling up my phone yet again with Music, leaving almost no space. Automatic Downloads was OFF.

I deleted the music. Happened again. And again. And again. With automatic downloads turned off! In the last hour my phone must've downloaded 10 gigs, which is ridiculous, because I have a limited data cap on my home broadband.

Has anyone else faced a similar issue? I've had to literally turn OFF iCloud Music Library to prevent these downloads from happening on their own. Any advice at all would be appreciated! This appears to be a bug, and a giant one at that.

UNfortunately, no solution here but I have the exact same problem. Have turned off auto downloads, signed out of iCloud music library, signed out of iCloud altogether and signed out of iTunes. My usage summary does not show any significant music downloads right now (after having to continuously delete the 16+GB of music that it had cumulatively downloaded over the last 48 hours) and yet it still shows that I have no available space on my phone. I keep getting messages that I have no additional space for the songs that it keeps downloading. Add insult to injury, it completely destroys the battery life - if left unattended my phone is now dead within an hour when it would have previously lasted all day with decent usage. I have a 16GB iPhone 6S.

I guess I'm glad this isn't an isolated issue? But either way, it doesn't seem to be a problem big enough for anyone else to acknowledge.

Either way, I turned off Optimise Storage, and re-enabled iCloud Music Library, with Automatic Downloads set to off. No issues thus far. Try this and see if it works for you. Fingers crossed!

Glad to have found this and confirmed I'm not crazy–it just happened to me yesterday, I bought one album of new music on the iTunes store from my laptop, which must have triggered my phone to automatically download, and then also download 5gb of other music from my library over the course of the afternoon. For some reason this happened over LTE rather than wifi and it blew right past my data cap and triggered overage charges. Not great. Hopefully this will be noticed and there will be a fix for it soon.

For the record I have an iPhone 6S with iOS 10.0.2
