Q: Calendar invites no longer being received

On my iMac with El Capitan, any invites I send from Calendar are no longer received. It used to work perfectly. Husband and I used to share certain calendar events by sending each other invitations. Now neither of us receives them from each other. I have tried sending a test invite to someone else (Microsoft user, different network, different country!) and they don't receive from me either, although I get invites she sends to me.

 

I have iCloud calendars on my iMac; my husband only uses 'On my Mac' calendars on his iMac. I have set up test google calendars on my Mac - those are the only ones which seem to send receivable invites. I have logged into my iCloud calendar in Safari and sent invites from there and those seem to be received. We haven't changed service providers so it's unlikely to be something do with being blocked.

 

I've seen many questions about this. I've done lots of the things suggested, like signing out of iCloud, changing username, then signing out again and changing user name back, but that doesn't work. I've tried countless experiments and my head is spinning. It is so annoying and frustrating as this has worked perfectly for years.

 

Any more ideas please?
