Trouble adding favorites to maps ios 10.0.2

Hi, I just downloaded ios 10.0.2 and am not able to add favorites in maps. Ultimately I'm trying to get directions to home to show up in 3d touch, but am not having any luck doing that either. When I scroll down on a location in maps it's all gray, no option to add to favorites. The share option is there next to the address, but to favorites option there either. Appreciate any help.
