Mail support topics

Whenever I start mail the incoming messages since last opening are very slow to upload. This happens only on my iMac but not my other devices. Mail Help says to reindex but I do not have that option on my mailbox drop down nor any other drop down choices on Mail. Anyone know what to use or how to reindex my mailbox?
