safari cannot connect to google

I cannot connect to Google, using Safari. I am trying to export my hotmail contacts to a new gmail account.

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X El Capitan (10.11.6)

Safari doesn't load a page or webpage items are missing

I uninstalled all Safari extensions and cleared all cookies.....so, now I have google and gmail. Reinstalled extensions and all seems to be okay. Thank you for your help!
