Sep 28, 2016 11:40 AM in response to Shaon89ahmedby Starr.C,Hi shaon89ahmed,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities to post your question. I understand that your iPhone receiver is not working as expected. Great way to try and resolve the issue on your own as well. If you have not done so already, please try the steps provided in the following links below.
If you can‘t hear a person on a call or voicemail or if the sound isn‘t clear on your iPhone
If you hear no sound or distorted sound from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch speaker
Please refrain from tapping hard on your iPhone as this can cause more harm than good. The above steps should have your speaker and receiver working as expected.
Have a nice day. -
Sep 28, 2016 12:31 PM in response to Shaon89ahmedby dsapra,There could be 2 reasons:
1) The earpiece component has gone bad
2) There is some dust/food/oil on the grill of earpiece.
I had the similar issue on my spouse's 6 plus. The voice from the earpiece was too low to hear. I tried to clean the earpiece grill to resolve the issue. To clean I used a Q-Tip to remove any dust, and then used another Q-Tip , dipped it in rubbing alcohol and then cleaned the earpiece grill again. Again with a dry Q-tip cleaned the grill. This resolved the issue
If this doesnt resolve the issue, will have to advise you to goto Apple Support to get the earpiece checked
