Disable Voice Control

Hi all,

I would really love to disable Voice control in iOS10, but I think it's not possible. Since I'm using iOS 10 I activate it by mistake 10 times per day due to the new "wonderful" lock screen. And honestly this is becoming really annoying.

I already found other threads on this topic, but I really hope that from time to time someone at Apple read this forum and get some brilliant idea, like for example asking UX engineer at Cupertino to check the lock screen with SIRI disabled _before_ releasing a new version of iOS.

I know that enabling Siri could be a solution, but honestly I don't want a crap vocal assistant that maybe work decently for English American but it's useless for the rest of the world.

I just talked to the Apple Hong Kong technical support through their online platform... They told me that, (1) you cannot turn off because this is a build-in function since IOS7😠; (2) probably the "voice control problem" is due to your hardware, so, please backup and take your iphone7 to Apple Store Genius Bar for maintainence😠😠; (3) I asked if it is possible to have an option in the future for users to turn off this function, the reply I got is that "there are not much customers encounter this problem" (that means they do not even bother to acknowledge my problem encountered is a "problem")😠😠😠... well, after all, the lesson I learnt is that I will NEVER ask for help from APPLE online platform again, and I think it's time to start looking for an alternative (Android phone)

Yes I have this issue too and it's annoying! I hope they sort it out in the next update!
I turned off Siri until they fix it and that hasn't helped either as 'Voice Control' comes up instead! Argh! 😕
Turning off access from lock screen doesn't work! 😐😐

There's some sort of bug as it's now stopped doing it since I've switched OFF "Home Control" in "Allow Access When Locked" When that's nothing to do with Siri... Weird... 😕

I also have this issue and it is incredibly annoying. This fantastic "upgrade" to iOS has inserted this infernal annoyance. BING BING Voice Control!! No thanks Apple. Here is hoping they fix it sharpish
