Sep 27, 2016 3:55 PM in response to mbrekby K Shaffer,There is a link at Adobe help support for a Shockwave version,
but not sure if that's something that is actually anything good.
http://get.adobe.com/shockwave/otherversions/
'Shockwave 10.2.4.194' seems to be most current
~ but that does not mean it is up-to-date or secure.
Be sure to use the official Adobe support sites
for anything of their brand and avoid others who
may be adware hosting or malware laden frauds.
IF in doubt, use the Adobe sourced 'uninstaller' to
be rid of an older or somewhat suspicious product;
also check for adware if odd symptoms arise after
an installation if a browser window prompted you to
get Flash from in a browser; not from Adobe/direct.
{Could be the Shockwave isn't really installed; in a
newer Mac OS X there are security measures to
keep certain applications from installing. Unless it
is temporarily disabled, GateKeeper may disallow.
See Adobe Help linked below to check for installed
Adobe flash and shockwave product versions.}
As for me, I don't use Adobe Flash or Shockwave.
For the most part, across several Mac OS, Adobe
is not a popular item for me; I doubt their security.
When faced with Flash or Shockwave, I've referred
to their own Help pages for ideas.

{Adobe 'Reader' is helpful for PDFs that were written
by someone in Adobe software; Preview may not show
all details an author may have included, otherwise.}
Good luck in this matter!

Sep 30, 2016 2:29 PM in response to K Shafferby K Shaffer,★HelpfulOpps... noticed an error where my keyboarding slipped up in the
Adobe Shockwave version that appears in their window. They
had it right; my writing said version 10.2.4.194 -- it's 12.2.4.194.
If you went there, you'd see the screenshot matches their page.
Elsewhere online I'd found reference of the Shockwave not being
as up-to-date as it could be. Some web & game content have gone
past needing this technology; newer & other choices are arriving.
The choice of developers to use the flash+shockwave is stoneage.
Good luck & hopefully you've been able find what version is running
and if need be, uninstall it in favor of a direct download from Adobe.
Also to use an AdwareMedic product to check for & remove anything
like that can help. Another item to see what may be installed that may
slow a Mac, EtreCheck it creates a report that can be posted here...
Both of these items were created by contributors to ASC & run free.
{Sometimes other items get installed along with software, and if there
was a prompt to download software within a browser window, it would
be considered suspect; the web browser is not tuned into your Mac.
These items can be 'adware' - or other bad players.}
Good luck in any event...!
