Artificial grass granules plug headphone jacks

When trying to insert the headphone minijack into my 6s plus, it went in only 3/4 of the way. Seemed to bounce back as if there was rubbery resistance. Canned air jets resulted in no success. I then explored the hole gently with a sewing needle and felt a small round rubbery object, pinched this, and out came a black rubber granule originating from artificial grass on a sports arena. The phone is now healthy.
