Q: So what on earth has happened to Safari since El Capitan?

I have only recently upgraded to El Capitan. I use a lot of music production hardware and software and have to wait for numerous developers to update their drivers / software before switch over to a new OSX. I have no problem with this and prefer to wait a few months to let the OSX updates bed in before migrating.

I have multiple Apple products - an iMac, a Macbook Pro, an iPad & iPhone - all synced and love how I can switch seamlessly between each one. Safari has been my goto browser since I switch to Mac's over 10 years ago.

Until I upgraded to El Capitan that is. And then all **** broke loose: Constant spinning balls; websites not loading or freezing. Just endless issues.

More and more I am finding myself using Firefox and Chrome. I have just attempted to pay a credit-card bill on-line. Safari stalled twice when loading the credit card website. At the third attempt I got to the payment section; but it then froze when the credit card company when to the authorisation section with my bank. It just sat there staring at me.

So I flipped over to Firefox and completed the transaction. Logged onto the credit card website without and issue and jumped through the bank authorisation section without a problem. Just like Safari used to.

I think I am done with Safari. What on earth happened to you? Has the world passed you by?
