Error 69888 couldn't unmount disk - external drive won't erase

Hi!

My external backup drive stopped showing up in finder and made disk utility freeze on "loading disks" on my desktop. On my laptop, the drive shows up in disk utility but not in Finder.

I tried to erase the disk but couldn't. Then I tried to erase the disk by writing command lines (diskutil eraseDisk JHFS from https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A21iyAd0a4E in Terminal and it looked like it was gonna work but then I got the message:

Error 69888. Couldn't unmount disk

Is this external drive just trash now?

Im stuck with this drive, my 2TB Seagate external drive I was copying files from Desktop when this happened and I tried everything to fix it, nothing worked so I prepared to erase the drive, start fresh. But, I can't even erase, fix the disk w
