I use Apple Mail (9.3) on OS X 10.11.6 to read my Hotmail account. This worked, until I switched on two stage verification on the Hotmail account. According to the Microsoft Account help, all I have to do is generate an app password from my MS account, and use this in place of the old account password. I tried this, but Apple Mail says the password is invalid. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong?
