iOS10: Who is iMessaging me?

Hi there,

I have 3 phone numbers listed under my partner's contact info (mobile, work and office).

His mobile and work phones are both iPhone and he iMessages me from both of them.

The issue I am having is that when I access my messages from the 'Messages' at the home screen, I see his name show up twice for mobile and work, but there is no way to know which message thread is which. Therefore, I don't know if I am sending an iMessage to his work phone or mobile phone.

I don't know what the workaround for this is, I know that I can just start a new message and then pick the number I want to text, but that seems like more work. I'd like to know which phone number I am receiving messages from.

I've just created a new contact for him (First Name, Last Name WORK) so I know which phone is which.
