Q: Siri unable to launch apps
Upgraded to Sierra a few days ago, and just started playing with Siri.
I'd really like to be able to launch apps using Siri, but it looks like that isn't working.
Here's an example conversation:
"Launch Safari"
"I don't see an app called 'Safari'. You could try searching the App Store"
"Launch Spotify"
"It doesn't look like you have an app named 'Spotify'. If you'd like, I can help you look for it on the App Store."
"Launch chrome"
"You don't seem to have an app named 'chrome'. We could see if the App Store has it."
Anyone else having issues like this?
What are you using Siri for on your Mac?
MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Late 2013), OS X El Capitan (10.11.3), Using iPhone 6s running iOS 9.2.1

I understand that you are trying to use Siri to open apps on your MacBook Pro, but she's not able to find these apps. I know that Siri is a great digital assistant, and it'll be nice to have her do some heavy lifting for you, so I'm happy to help.
To start, make sure that you have Applications enabled as a search result under your Spotlight preferences. You can find this through System Preferences > Spotlight > Search Results. You can read more about Spotlight preferences here:
macOS Sierra: Search with Spotlight
If you are still having issues with that enabled, let's try toggling Siri off and on again. To do this open System Preferences > Siri, disable Siri. Restart your computer, then enable Siri again. You can read more about Siri and the related preferences here:
