Sep 28, 2016 10:28 AM in response to AJC42990by Tesserax,There are only three ways to "lock" files on an AirPort Disk:
- With a basestation password.
- With a disk password, or
- With user accounts.
The last option may come close to what you are looking for.
In this case, the disk partition must be formatted in HFS+. On partitions formatted, as such, you can specify individual usernames & passwords. Each having a different level of access (Read/Write, Read-only, or None.) These accounts are not the same as Mac user accounts. You would use the AirPort Utility to create and maintain these accounts.
However, this in on the entire partition, not on individual files or folders.
