Digital Touch Message on 2 phones 2 different apple id's

I updated my personal IPhone 6 and my work IPhone 6S to the new IOS 10.0.2. Keep in mind the two phones have two totally different Apple ID's and number. When a friend sends a digital touch message from their Apple watch, the digital message shows up on both phones. I'd like to stop this from showing up on my work phone but I can not figure out how. Is this a setting in my phone or a setting in the apple watch that sends the digital message to both phones? I have also looked in settings > messages > send & receive; the Apple ID as well as the "you can be reached by message at" number and email are totally different on both phones. I am so confused. Can anyone help?
