Q: Ipad screen wont work in a strange way

First off all, im lucky i didnt update to ios 10 yet. but i will explain that later. My Ipad air 2 64 gigs no cellular randomly stopped reconizing input on the screen. I'm a student and it was in class. my ipad would not force restart (because the screen didnt allow input i was unable to turn it off normally) so i just told it to the teacher and i would go on. but there was a strange thing. if i used touch ID to log in and then swiped down i could acces the notification center. if i pressed on any of the apps, nothing would work. but if a tapped on the calender widget on a specific item it would take me there. so i just took it home. at home my ipad still didn't work, so i tried to update it. it was the only way that i could restore my Ipad. If there isnt an update, How do i restore it within 1 or 2 hours? (DFU Mode doesnt work because it wont shut down.)

Sorry for bad English.

    Hello Coolymike

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Community. I know how important it is to keep your iOS devices running as expected, and I'd like to help get your screen responding as it should again.

Because the screen itself seems to be mostly unresponsive the first thing I'd recommend doing is forcing a restart by pressing and holding the Home and Sleep/Wake button at the same time for about 30 seconds or until you see the Apple Logo appear on your screen.

Once your iPad restarts it should work as expected, but if not you may need to backup and restore the Pad using iTunes. The articles below will walk you through that process as well.

How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

Use iTunes on your Mac or PC to restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings

If the behavior persists, or you run into any trouble, the entire community is here to help.
    Best Regards
