Yes, but many of the sound effects will be missing, if you delete the loops with the iLife sound effects.

I also want to uninstall or delete Garageband, BUT, I want to KEEP the sounds or whatever else is included for iMovie.

When you delete the folder with the Apple Loops, omit the subfolders "iLife Sound Effects" and "iMovie Sound Effects", if they are present and keep them.

really helpful and i found a lot of other residual items to clear at the same time, like all of the printers that have ever been added. Good though that these are not too accessible rather than the risk of deleting anything in error.

Are you using any other music application? Many files listed as GarageBAnd are used by Logic, MainStage, iMovie as well.

• To remove GarageBand delete the GarageBand.app from Applications.
• Delete the folder /Library/Application Support/GarageBand/, if you are not using Logic or MainStage as well.
• Delete /Library/Application Support/Logic/.,if you are not using Logic or MainStage.
• Delete /Library/Audio/Apple Loops/ , if you are not using Logic or MainStage, or iMovie and need to keep the Sound Effects.
