water spilled on keyboard- MacBook Pro

So I accidentally spilled water on my MacBook Pro last night (stupid I know, should have been more careful). Right away I flipped the laptop upside down and cleaned up the water that was spilled onto the keyboard and let it air dry overnight. I turned off right away and just prayed for the best. The next morning I turned it on just to see if it was completely dead or not and to my surprise it turned on! It was working fine for a few minutes like the keyboard and the mouse but then it froze and I had to turn it off. Any ideas on what I should do next? Would I need to replace the whole entire laptop or maybe just the keyboard if it came down to it?

Hey Sidhu123,

Thanks for being a part of Apple Support Communities.

I understand from your post that you've spilled some water on your MacBook Pro, and now it's freezing on you and unresponsive. Since this only happened right after spilling water on it, then there's likely a hardware issue with the Mac itself. I suggest that you look into your service options by using the link below:

Take care.
