If I enter a contact on my iPhone it does not appear in my contacts. I can search for it and find it from the system drop-down search, but I cannot find it with a search of contacts.
The item is in my contacts on my MacBook Air. My MacBook is on OS 10.10.5.
I think I entered one or more addresses on my iPhone within the last two weeks. These are in my Contacts on all three of my devices.
Conversely, if I enter a contact on my MacBook Air, then it is available on my iPhone within a few minutes.
Hm! All Gmail under Contacts>Groups was un-clicked on my iPhone. When I clicked it then the new entry appeared in my contacts. Caveat, that was after updating the entry on my MacBook. Would the entry be shown of my iPhone if had unclicked All Gmail without updating it on my MacBook.
Well, the mystery deepens. I added a contact entry on my iPhone and it appeared in the iPhone Contacts list right away! It didn't matter if I entered a person's name only or a company name only.
Somedays I swear there on genies causing mischief on our devices.
I should add that the test names I entered on my iPhone did not appear on my MacBook until I quit and restarted Contacts. This might have happened if I had changed the Contacts window in some way, say by doing a search.
My guess is that when Jeejo updated his iPhone to iOS 10, the updating process changed some of his settings.
