Q: ipad 2 air

Please help, my ipad suddenly and without warning stopped charging.  Not only will it not charge but will not force sleep/reboot.  I have attempted home/sleep button technique multiple times, new and old cables, switched usb connecters, logged into my iTunes for updating and restore..nothing has worked.. ipad only intermittently flashes the apple logo and then the battery level logo then back again
