Since upgrading to Sierra, upon restarting or starting up my iMac the following message window pops up:
Do you want the application "xrdd" to accept incoming network connections?
I'd never seen this message with the previous operation systems? I'm not sure whether to deny it?

Since posting my original question above, I have deleted the Sophos virus-detection software, and now upon re-starting the message referring to "xrdd" doesn't appear. Apparently, Sophos software isn't quite up to speed with Sierra.

My reply to my post is nullified. I just started my iMac, and the message regarding "xrdd" appeared again. So, again not sure what this is for, and why the pop up keeps happening after updating to Sierra 10.12.

My iMac was too slow under Sierra when using applications such as Adobe CC 2015 Illustrator as well as other non-Adobe applications. I downgraded to El Capitan.
