I am trying to copy a part of a message in the messages app. I often copy numbers, contacts etc. and then paste them to other places. After i updated to latest iOS, it is only possible to copy the entire message. If i try to highlight/select part of the message as before, it brings up these ridiculous response bubbles. I would gladly turn this feature off, but i cannot find where to do that. (text copied from "johny24" the same issue mentioned in Mac OS, I fully agree to this also in iOS on iPhone 6, iPad mini, iPhone 5, iPhone 5s)

I still have the problem, but my nephew is helping me. Just this morning he told me that the "Press and hold is the key." I guess I just don't have the iPhone "touch". I tried it again and was able to get the "Copy/More" pop-up once so I'm guessing it's just a matter of my either trying too hard or putting too much thought into it. Hope this helps your mother!

frankly, and this will get deleted I am sure - just another example of ****ing up free ice cream with this abomination of an OS.

guess I held my nose just right one time and neither those stupid icons popped up, nor did it try to create a calendar event for the time in the text. Finally, after trying the tap and hold 6 times, the copy/more box appeared.

And so what the **** are these grayrd out copy paste and cut keyboard icons for landscape mode? Absolutely stupid that's what!

They put the copy and paste keys on the keyboard and it doesn't even work in iMessage. Secondly, tap and hold to get the pace dialogue on an iPhone 7 Plus and's up with a magnification tool instead depending on how hard you press. It takes about seven attempts to get to the right dialogue. The force touch screen also prevents tapping and holding to save images in any website

iOS 10 has effectively put a copy and paste keyboard key into the iPhone 7, but it doesn't work in half of the apps it appears in. And that's talking about Apple apps! The keyboard keys don't even work fully functional in their own developed apps.

As you can see in the below three screenshots, there is a cut and paste dialogue on the keyboard in landscape mode on my iPhone 7 Plus. The second two of the three screenshots, show the two different dialogue switch a pair when I tap and hold in the message area, I noted to paste the text I wanted to paste. The experience for me is very stressful because, I am looking at a paste button on the keyboard which does not recognize the clipboard. Secondly I receive them off restoration by trying to find the right amount of pressure on the screen to get the paste dialogue instead of the magnifying glass. Force touch has definitely overlooked a lot of the major general usage which most people use the touchscreen far with tap and hold . for me twisting the keyboard into landscape mode on an iPhone 7, or 7+, and seeing these keys present which are not functional, and only visible as grayrd out.

If it's possible to paste a text in with your finger on the touch screen, then why isn't it possible to do it with the paste button on the keyboard which is visible in the below screenshot? Let Me guess; they forgot!
