I appreciate the info and the additional info. Next reset your SMC:

Reset the System Management Controller (SMC) on your Mac

If the issue persists, then we will next have to look into reinstalling the operating system. First make a backup of your computer using Time Machine:

Use Time Machine to back up or restore your Mac
