Q: App priority

Email from the same accounts arrive to my native Apple mail app 5 to 8 minutes faster than to Airmail 3 app.

When asked they responded

  1. Generally, the background activity for Airmail depends on this question, "How many apps are you using in background?" Therefore, if you limit the number of background apps, Airmail will get more priority for the background sync. This will also get Airmail to download the message bodies quickly.
  2. Secondly, if you use Airmail regularly throughout the day, it will get priority to sync in background, quickly.
  3. And last, but equally important is to keep the Airmail app in the dock of your iOS device. This will prioritise Airmail's activity.

I was surprised with #3 as I have never heard of this before. Legit or urban myth? Any idea?

Thanks!
