How do I fix my headphone jack not working with left earbud?

I have an iPhone 6 and just got it back from a screen repair. Went to plug in headphones and the left ear bud is not working. I tried the same pair of headphones on my iPod and they worked perfectly. if the headphones are plugged in half way on iPhone6 works fine. I tried restarting my iPhone6 and it still had the same response. I do not have another set of headphones to try to use on the iPhone6. I think while the apple phone repair company was putting my iphone6 back together from repair they might have accidentally did something to the headphone jack.

I understand that one side of your headphones is no longer outputting sound after getting your iPhone back from repair. I know it's important to get good audio from your iPhone, so I'm happy to help.

If you can't hear any sound or if only one side of your headphones works

Adjust the volume with the volume buttons on your iOS device or use the Volume slider in Control Center.

To see if you need a replacement, try a second pair of headphones. If the second pair works, contact the manufacturer of the initial pair and ask if you need a replacement. If the second pair doesn't work, contact Apple Support.

Definitely try out step one to ensure that your volume is adjusted properly. After that, since you don't have a second pair of headphones available, you may find more information by using another one of Apple's support resources:

Who did the screen repair? If it was Apple, contact them for warranty service. If it was not Apple you are out of luck unless the place that replaced the screen is willing to help you.
