Facebook contacts/calendar

cannot get facebook contacts to sync. I've deleted the app, allowed access to contacta, hit update contacts, and it tells me "0 contacts updated".

cannot get facebook calenda events to stop Syncing, I've turned off the sync calendar but it still is syncing all of facebooks events and birthdays.

Any idea on how to fix?

Thanks for posting in the Apple Support Community! I understand you're having trouble with your Facebook contacts not syncing as well as getting your Facebook calendar and birthdays to stop syncing. I can understand wanting to have your calendar and contacts set up the way you like, so I'm happy to offer some help.

I recommend to start by restarting your iPhone. Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

I'd also like to confirm that you're following the steps in the article below to turn off and on the Contacts and Calendar options:

Sync your contacts and calendars with Facebook
After you set up syncing, when information changes on Facebook, the changes automatically sync to the contacts and calendars on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. This feature is off by default. Here's how to set it up:

Go to Settings > Facebook.

Under "Allow these apps to use your account," turn on Contact or Calendars.

Get help with contacts that won't sync or update
If one or more of your contacts won't update, sync, or show a profile photo, check whether they share an email address on their social-media profile. If the contact doesn't share an email address, their information won't update on your device.
For example, on Facebook, you can check a person's About page to see whether they share an email address.

Sign in to social networks like Facebook and Twitter on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch
