Any Problems with Mid-2011 Macbook Air

I just got a refurbished Mid-2011 Macbook Air Intel Core i5 Processor 1.6GHz and I'm concerned the model may have problems with upgrades to new operating systems and/or other problems with performance.

I'm switching from a Mid-2010 Macbook Pro because it was no longer taking updates, and now I'm worried I'm going to have the same problem with this one because the model and processor is so old.

Any help or advice appreciated.

I have a 2011 4GB MBA with a 256GB SSD. It runs Sierra at least as well as it did El Capitan. I think Sierra may be a bit more RAM hungry than El Capitan was but still I'm running this 5 year old computer with the newest software while also using a nearly new very fast iMac at home and work. At no time do I feel my MBA is slow compared to my home or work desktops.
