Q: 2011 MacBook Pro Back-light Flickering

I have a 2011 MacBook Pro, and recently the back-light has begun to flicker slightly at random times. When I say flicker it doesn't turn off completely/go dark but there is a very fast dip and rise in screen brightness that lasts for 30 seconds to a minute.

I have also noticed that when the laptop is open, if I apply even slight pressure to the back of the screen right near the bottom the back light will dim and flicker too.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what the issue might be? It isn't affecting the machine in a major way I just want to get to the bottom of it in case it deteriorates further.
