How do I set a start point in maps?

I Used to be able to set a starting location in maps on iOS 9 and then put in my destination but it doesn't look like it has that option anymore. Please help.

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

I understand from your post that you used to be able to set a starting location in Maps on iOS 9 and then put in your destination. I know how important it is for you to be able to navigate the Maps apps smoothly. When using Maps, after you search for your destination, you can then choose your starting point. The iOS 10 user guide will provide you with some additional tips, such as using Siri to locate your destination:

It assumes your current location is the start point. You have to tap the text box (containing the destination ) which then brings up the start and end points.

You can then tap on the start point to change it.

It's a little strange that you have to tap the destination box to bring up the start box !
