Q: My Ipad Air wont play a video in safari once it had paused or scrubbed into the part of the video

My ipad pro is acting strange whenever i play a video on safari since i updated it to IOS 10. The video doesnt use flash though. Even though its loaded, whenever i paused it and play it again, the screen stays at the part where i paused at. and every button i tap (play, pause, rewind and forward).it doesn't really move. Well ,I tried to clear the cookies and data of the safari app and remove all apps in multitasking , also i rebooted it and occurs again sometimes. The video only plays again once i go to home and go back again. And Happens again when i paused it (again).

Its actually kind of frustrating

Pls. need a little advise

iPad Air, iOS 10.0.2

Hi. Is it one particular site, or all sites? Could you try vimeo for example? Sometimes closing and re-opening the page (tab) helps with these issues. I just tried a vimeo on my iPad Air with iOS 10 and was able to pause and scrub back and forth with no problem. By the way, your title says iPad Air, but your text says iPad Pro without giving the size. Please clarify which it is.

Well ,it is only one particular site (uses HTML5 for video playing). The site is Kissanime.to . I used my Ipad Air to watch anime. Well , first time i installed IOS 10, it didnt really had problems but when i used the multitasking panel function (going to music and youtube much), the problem started to occur.

    I tried this few Methods:

    • Clearing the Cookies and Data of Safari, and then Clear all Apps opened in multitasking, and then rebooted it (holding power button + Home for 10-15 seconds)

Results: Only Helped a Bit (Works fine for a Couple of Hours )

    • Clearing the tabs on safari

               Results: Nothing really happened

    • Resetting the Device's setting

               Results: Nope......

    • Going to home for a couple of seconds

               Results: Sometimes work, sometimes not....

And I tried to play a video from vimeo.com and it works fine .... but in KissAnime, once I paused a loaded video and play it, the video freezes and stops. Well i can scrub it, but it wont play the part where i scrubbed to. So now I am watching from PC and takes a while to load it (also I'm new to IOS devices)....

    Pls help....

    (Btw, I'm an otaku so......yeah )

Strange. "Works for me." I used Chrome, then Safari on KissAnime.to. Chrome played right away. On Safari, I had to "click here" to get the play button to appear. You problem may be related to the format of specific videos. You could try Chrome and see if it's any different.

I tried it and the problem is still occuring but i found a way to play it...(sometimes)

Solution: During i paused the video, opening the multitasking panel (the right side of the screen) for a while and closing it,then taping the play button makes the video work

But then again, it still occurs whenever i pause the video....
