audio noise on mac os sierra

Ive tried the PRAM reset (works for a while then audio noise comes back)

Ive also tried the sudo killall coreaudiod in terminal (works for a while the audio noise comes back)

Ive checked and its not just on my pc speakers its the actual imac itself as the built in speakers makes the same audio noise. on itunes or youtube on whatever when ever i play music its fine for a while then the audio noise comes back.

this issue actually first came about on the ios update before i updated sierra. at first i thought it was solved as music was playing fine then again, it came back.

i think ive tried everything now and it keeps coming back. it was fine before the latest ios update, the last one before i upgraded to Sierra.

Please help!

Matt

iMac, macOS Sierra (10.12), late 2015 version.

EtreCheck is a simple little app to display the important details of your system configuration and allow you to copy that information to the Clipboard. It is meant to be used with Apple Support Communities to help people help you with your Mac.

Open Console in Utilities & see if there are any clues or repeating messages when this happens.

Long shot, but...

Open Audio Midi Setup in Applications>Utilities, see the input & output options & KHz setting there, some things will change it for their own use, then not set it back
