Q: Higher CPU Usage Since Logic Pro X 10.2.2 - Please Read
Hello users.
So this issue must have been written about greatly already. I apologise for not researching it, I don't have a great deal of time. Today it got to me so much I felt I had to talk about it. If there isn't an obvious fix, like for example upgrading my OS, I will say on Logic 10.2.0 as I have done for about the last 6 months.
The issue is that from version 10.2.2 onwards, Logic requires more CPU power to run. I have tested many projects and my findings are always the same. I've loaded them up in Logic 10.2.0 and taken a screen shot, and then done the same with 10.2.2. You might say, 'why don't you update to 10.2.4, and see if that fixes it?'. I did and it didn't. It started happing since they introduced the option to change the way logic processes multithreading, giving us the option to choose between 'playback', and 'playback & live' tracks.
I have included the below screen shots. The only reason I can see for Apple making this happen is that they want to try and force us to buy new hardware. Either that or the Logic programmers don't thinks this difference matters.
I'll be staying on 10.2.0 until something changes. If you could post links to any other posts covering it that would be appreciated.
