Q: Apple Id stolen - Help!
My iCloud ID/Password were stolen and 87 iMessages were sent to 87 different numbers in another country/language in an 8 minute time period. As soon as I noticed I changed my iCloud password. I have not been able to send/receive iMessages from my account (iPhone or MacBook Air) since. I spoke to 2 different people from Apple on the phone for over 2 hours. The second person remoted into my MacBook Air. We were unable to resolve the issue. After 2 hours Apple told me that my iMessages had been disabled by Apple for 24 hours because they discovered my account information had be stolen. It has been over 24 hours and nothing has changed. I contacted the person I spoke with about this and he has no information other then "hopefully Apple will remove the throttle soon." He initially told me 24 hours, now can't give me an estimate. If my iMessages were really disabled by Apple then why did it take 2 hours on the phone to figure this out? Shouldn't they have seen this in my account as soon as the call started? I can only send/receive text messages from my phone, but friends are still sending me iMessages (because they aren't aware of the current situation) and it says "delivered" but I am not getting them. I am so frustrated and want my account fixed! Can anyone help? Does Apple really disable iMessage on accounts? If so for how long? How come when I call Apple they can't release this hold or even give me an estimate of when it will be released?
