There is no iPod "classic" that is 2GB.  Old iPod nano, maybe?  When you do a Reset (restart), what happens (in more detail)?

Learn how to reset your iPod - Apple Support  (see section iPod with a click wheel)

What does "not responding" mean?  Does the Apple logo appear when you do a Reset?  Do you get an error screen?  Does the iPod actually not react at all when you try to do a Reset?

Hi Kenichi, thanks for replying, yes it is a nano iPod with a wheel thing, i do get the message to restore the iPod with iTunes, and when i do it repeats it about 3 times , and then i see the iPod as connected but refers to my other iPod which is a 32GB touch, and that is all is doing,  at this stage i think it needs repair.

Since you can do a Restore on iPod, the iPod actually appears in iTunes when you connect it?  But it keeps asking you to do a Restore on it more than once...

Is your iPod touch also connected to your computer (at the same time as iPod nano) when this happens?

Does your iPod touch work properly with iTunes?

Hi Kenichi, it's working now, i didn't do anything strange, i reconnected to the computer, it asked to restore and after that it did it again and it was successful, probably because i'm using Win 10 as a OS, i'm not sure what it is, but i do thank you for your support, all the best and take care.
