Q: Mail app not showing attachments from Outlook.com Account

Hi all,

I've been using an outlook.com account on OS X (Mavericks and El Capitan) and iOS for over a year, on several devices and Macs.  On iOS it's set up as an Outlook.com account, but on OS X it was configured as IMAP (no option to add Outlook.com account specifically) - that's some background, not the issue...

In Sierra, when I am sent an email with a PDF attachment, it does not appear on the email in Mail on Sierra.  Confirmed on two Macs running the latest OS (one running slightly newer public beta, the other running standard install).  When I check on El Capitan Mac and on iOS devices I do see the attachment fine.  Also appears fine on iOS.

If I forward the email to my iCloud account (using the outlook.com web client), then the attachment appears fine.

Anyone else seen this behaviour?

Mac mini, macOS Sierra (10.12)

    Greetings, SC::UK!

    I see you're unable to locate a PDF attachment sent to your Outlook email address in the Mail app after upgrading your Mac Mini to macOS Sierra. I know that if someone is sending me an attachment I would want to be able to open it too, and I'll be happy to help you with this.

    Mail for Mac: Set up Mail with your email accounts -- The first thing to do is remove then re-add your email account.

    Try safe mode if your Mac doesn‘t finish starting up -- Safe mode not only helps a Mac finish starting up, it will also tell us if the issue is related to a startup item or plugins, and sometimes it's all that is necessary to correct some problems.

    How to test an issue in another user account on your Mac -- If the issue is still persists after starting up in safe mode, then we'll need to figure out if this is an issue in just your user profile or if it's system-wide. Once you've created the new account and have logged into it, set up your email there and let me now if the attachment is visible.

    Thanks for using Apple Support Communities and have a great day!

    I'm having the same issue with an IMAP account, and I've gone through all of those steps. My incoming attachments either don't appear at all, or disappear when I move the mail message to another folder. There are quite a few posts on this issue (or some version of it) since the Sierra upgrade. I've also submitted a bug report for Sierra/Mail. You're not alone.
