Q: Third party video cards
I have a Mac Pro mid 2012 3.2 ghx quad core intel xeon, 6 gigs ram running osx 10.9.5. Just purchased a Samsung UHD monitor and the built in video card isn't cutting it with the high resolution monitor. Text is choppy and mouse movement jittery. I'm looking at installing a EVGA GeForce GTX 680. The latest driver that Geforce has for this card does not support mid 2012 Mac pro http://www.geforce.com/drivers/results/77751 So I was wondering if anybody knows if it will work with the native OSX built in driver. I really need to find a better video card for this Mac than the built in one. Any suggestions for other video cards that would work will also be appreciated. Thanks
Mac Pro, OS X Mavericks (10.9.5), 6 GB 1066 MHz DDR3

There is no nvidia driver for my config. macpro mid 2012 running 10.9.5. Look at the link I posted in orginal post. If you can find driver for my config I'd appreciate a link to it
Mac OS X 10.9.5 includes a built-in driver for the GTX-680 as written by Apple. There is no separate Apple installer for the driver as it is built-in.
Nvidia do provide their own driver for Mac OS X 10.9.5. The exact link to click on depends on the exact build number of your version of OS X 10.9.5. If you had looked at the link I gave you before instead of using your incorrect link you would have found the correct download.
Hypothetically, if you have Mac OS X 10.9.5 build 13F1911 which I believe maybe the last build of 10.9.5 then the corresponding link to click on and download the Nvidia driver is this - 334.01.03f11 As we do not know what build number you are running we cannot know which version you need.
See http://www.macvidcards.com/drivers.html and this time pick the link you need. This page also includes instructions on how to find your build number if your unsure on how to do this. The Nvidia site itself does not make it easy to find all their different versions of drivers. The owner of the MacVidCards website along with other Mac experts have saved you all this effort and compiled a list for you with links.
