Q: Tascam DM24 and Logic pro X

Hello,

does someone use Logic pro X together with the Tascam DM24 mixer with firewire card as a control surface and is able to help?

Unfortunatly the template on the Tascam support webpage isn't working with the pro x version (it's an old Logic 5 template).

I'm using Logic for digital recording, but simultaneous the mixer is connected to a multi-track tape recorder.

After spending a lot of time, I'm able now to move one fader on the mixer and it reacts in logic.

But I need to move all 16 faders individually, which is not working now. My target is when moving an individual fader, like CH1, only this fader should move in Logic. Same with CH2 and so on, till CH16.

Can some help, how to fix it?

Many thanks in advance

Wow, that's an old unit.  I assume you have a pre-2016 Mac Pro.  Not sure if the drivers for that model are compatible with El Capitan (I assume that's the OS version you're running).  But let's see what we can do.  In the Applications folder, there is  Utilities folder.  Inside of that is an application called "Audio MIDI Setup".  Launch that and see if it is properly recognizing the DM24.  Also, you may have to manually map the controls.
