Shared playlists in Apple Music not updating

I tired a similar thing over the weekend with mixed results my my kids' iPads.

I sent an invite to iPad1 and it had a SUBSCRIBE button. I sent an invite to iPad2 but it had an ADD button. In both cases, the playlist showed up.

However, when I added a song to the playlist on my iPhone, iPad1 immediately updated but iPad2 never did.

Why don't I have a subscribe button on both iPads? Am I missing a setting on one of the iPads? Anomaly?

Having trouble getting playlists to show up on my iphone. I have already set up Family Sharing and can see the playlist on my other Mac (I have 2). I also have 2 iphones and cannot get the playlists to show up on the other one.

This doesn't have to do with the issue at hand. They're trying to share a playlist via iMessage or something to someone not in their Family.

I am having the same issue. I share my playlists with multiple people and as of 5 weeks ago they apparently stopped updating.

They do in fact update as I have been doing this since Apple Music came out. Once I made a new playlist yesterday and shared that link, and then added songs to it, it reflected on my friends other end. Just don't know why my original playlist stopped updating. Seems clunky.

I would love the answer to this question too - my playlists are not updating on my phone (same account on they were created on) or my husband's phone (where the playlist has been shared).
