Bluetooth problem on iPhone 7

L.S.,

I am having a Bluetooth problem with my iPhone 7. I have a polar V800 sport watch which through Bluetooth can upload exercise data to the Polar FlowApp on the iPhone. This worked OK on my iPhone 6s but not so much on my iPhone 7. I am able to pair the V800 to the iPhone 7, and once paired the exercise data that is on the V800 when pairing is completed is uploaded to the iPhone 7.

The next day however pairing no longer works, the V800 tries to establish a Bluetooth connection and the Bluetooth symbol on the iPhone 7 flickers a bit but never becomes solid. Removing the Bluetooth connection to the V800 and repairing the V800 solves the problem until the next day. I suspect the problem is with the iPhone 7, as I never had this problem with the iPhone 6s. Anyone with the same or a similar problem?

It concerns a black iPhone 7 128GB, iOS 10.0.2, Polar FlowApp 3.2.3.

bmccgpob,

This is more or less the same reply I got from Polar support, only I was also advised to delete\reinstall the Flow app and restart the iPhone. Did all this and as for you it did not help. Still not sure where the fault lies, but leaning toward Polar.

As I might have mentioned before I am able to pair, and once paired I am able to sync once, but once the Flow app has been closed syncing no longer works. For now I am uploading through the USB cord to the Flow website and subsequently downloading from the Flow web site to the Flow app, the reverse from what I was doing before.

M3bolt,

Do you not have a USB cable with a clip that clips onto the V800? What I do is use this cable to clip onto the V800, and start the FlowSync app which than uploads the data to the Flow web site. I subsequently open the Flow app, which syncs with the flow web site and downloads the data.

You must have to the Flow web site to update the V800 firmware? It is the same cable you would use to update the V800 firmware. Hope this helps.
