Q: Problems with mouse at boot

After upgrading my MInimac to macOS Sierra, everytime I turn it on, it boots without screen, I can hear the speach from logging screen but with no image.

At the moment I have been able to skip the problem by turning the mac on using power + ctrl + alt + ****, or turning it on with my mouse unplugged and my Wacom plugged. I tried 2 mouses and with both I have the same problem.

My hardware:

MacOS Sierra 10.12

Mac mini (Late 2014) 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 2,6 GHz Intel Core i5

Wacom Bamboo CTL-470

Microsoft Comfort Mouse 4500 (wired usb)

Genius Mouse Traveler 9005BT (bluetooth)

HDMI TV instead of monitor

Mac mini, macOS Sierra (10.12)

    Hi there cartoon.ar!

Thanks for bringing your question to the Apple Support Communities.  It sounds like after installing macOS Sierra on your Mac mini that you're running into startup issues where your Mac starts up but has no display.  This is possibly related to the third party products connected to your Mac. I've been using macOS Sierra since it launched and haven't run into issues, so it's my pleasure to help out today.

Whenever running into startup issues, I recommend starting up in safe mode.  Even though your Mac is starting up, for some reason it's not showing up on your external display.  I would also recommend disconnecting all the third party accessories except for a USB mouse, USB keyboard, and a known good monitor to rule out any other issues.

Try safe mode if your Mac doesn‘t finish starting up

    Best wishes.
