Wifi problems with operating system update

I updated my iOS and now am having WiFi issues. It is either extremely unreliable or flat out does not work....even though it shows I'm connected with full signal. This problem happened with the current update. I've reset the WiFi, rebooted two different WiFi routers and did a hard reboot on my phone. Any help on what else to try would be much appreciated. I have AT&T if that matters. Thanks in advance!

Greetings gmackell,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. I see from your post that you are having issues with Wi-Fi connectivity on your iPhone after updating it to iOS 10. I know that I rely on Wi-Fi so I don’t use all my data. I will be more than happy to help.

Sounds like you have done some great steps so far. I recommend resetting the network settings on your iPhone. This will remove any Wi-Fi passwords and any VPN settings if you have any set up. Here are the instructions for that:

Reset iPhone settings - iPhone

Take care!
