After choosing the iTunes Library.itl file that I created from a previous backup, I see all of my playlists for a couple of seconds. Then I get the spinning beachball, and I lose over 90% of the playlists. Should I delete and/or re-create any other files?

I have this problem as well but when I signed into my iCloud there was no music at all in it! I have an xml file in my iTunes folder which lists all the music I am missing but I cannot access any of it as "file not found" and I cannot locate it manually. Help!
Windows or Mac? Is the media still present in the media folder? See Empty/corrupt iTunes library after upgrade/crash.

I think that I fixed the problem. I had to re-sign with my iCloud account. All of my playlists and movies appear to be listed in iTunes on my iMac.

Replacing iTunes Library.itl shows all of my playlists but then I lose the majority of the playlists.
