Thanks for bringing your question to the Apple Support Communities. Your Bluetooth audio has stopped working in your car, and although you can make calls, you're unable to play music through the car. I love being able to listen to music in my car, so it's my pleasure to help.
It sounds like you've done a lot of great troubleshooting. At this point since you've un-paired and re-paired as well as restarted the phone, my final recommendation would be to check with the auto manufacturer for any updated firmware.

Oct 1, 2016 1:45 PM in response to sterling rby Brewerpaul,Thanks-- I'll have to check with a dealer on Monday.
One suggestion that I saw but did not try was to reset network settings. Does this apply to Bluetooth or just WiFi? Worth trying?

Reset network settings also affects Bluetooth. Keep in mind when you do that, it will delete all your saved Wi-Fi networks, any Bluetooth connections you've already set up, and any VPN connections you may have. We look forward to hearing from you after you contact the dealer.
Best wishes!
