Sep 30, 2016 9:57 AM in response to leroydouglasby rgunderm,Yes, I was short on info as this is my first time posting. I have an Airport Extreme /n and about 25 Zmodo security cameras in my house that I monitor on an app on my IPhone. They all connect to the internet via my Airport Extreme. Last week I lost connection with all of the them via the internet, but they all work on my local network (basically I could see them when connected to wifi but not when on LTE cell.) After a ton of work on the camera company tech support, i finally realized it was the Airport Extreme that is causing the issue. I swapped it out with an Airport Express that I had and the connection works perfect. I had made no changes to the Airport Extreme, this just started happening. I assume that it did an automatic firmware update up I don't know for sure. I saw another post about a similar condition however there was no solution. I performed a hard reset but this made no difference. Something has changed in the settings but I cant figure out what it is.

Sep 30, 2016 10:10 AM in response to rgundermby Mac_Cat,Sounds like you are describing an Airport Extreme that has failed.
Often, in my experience, these high speed wifi routers default to a low speed connection, when they start to fail.
I generally get 2-3 years out of one. I'm on my 3rd Extreme router, but I wouldn't use anything else.
You might want to take this up in another thread about networking or WiFi.

Sep 30, 2016 11:34 AM in response to Mac_Catby rgunderm,I see that I did post in the wrong thread. Thanks for the advice though. You are right about these failing every two years, I'm on my second and looks like I am heading toward my third.
