Series One Apple Watch Does Not Always Display

I was an early adopter of the Apple Watch in October 2015. Sports model.

Just in the last month when I flip my wrist, the watch display has not come on occasionally causing me to rotate my wrist a second or rarely a third time for it to come on.

Is this a known issue or problem?

No, that is not a known issue or problem.

The following steps may help:

Restart both your iPhone and your watch, turning both off together, then restarting your iPhone first:

Unpair and re-pair your watch:

The Watch app on your iPhone takes a backup of your watch automatically when unpairing via the app. Choose to Restore from Backup during set up. Most data and settings will be restored, with some exceptions (eg Apple Pay cards, passcode).
