Q: Mac Pro Late 2013 Tower: External Card Reader Not Working
Hello, I've owned the new Mac Pro (Late 2013) for about 7 months now and recently tried to pull files off my SD cards using an external card reader. However, I'm finding that my Mac Pro won't event mount the SD card when I plug the card reader into one of the USB ports. I'm using a Transcend USB 3.0 reader.
So I purchased a USB 3.0 hub that's externally powered to see if the card reader just needed power to mount. The card mounts but the Mac won't read the files. It says the files may be corrupt.
I know the files aren't corrupt because I insert the card in my MacBook Pro and can copy them over there. That's how I've been pulling files onto my Mac Pro, using my MacBook Pro and pulling the files over through a network.
Really wish I could just go directly from a card reader.
Does anyone have any solutions?
Thanks!
Mac Pro, macOS Sierra (10.12), Late 2013
