My mac mini simply will not source output through its speakers or the headphone jack, I can change the volume up and down, but there is just no output, I switched it off, unplugged it and tried plugging in different headphones and it still does not work, however if i play audio through my monitor (via HDMI) it works, But as it does not play audio through the internal speakers or headphones I believe this is a software issue rather than a hardware one.
